How to Endure Meetings Constructively - My Approach
by Room 215 ini occasionally attend sunday meetings, either just for curiosity or to placate my dear wife.
i've recently developed a method whereby i tune out all the proceedings from the platform and audience, and take to reading acts (i've just begun to learn a great deal about roman history via audio cds from the teaching company, which i listen to on my long commute to work).
the lecturers on these all highly praise the accuracy of the book of acts and all the gospels in general, in terms of their accurate depiction of life in judea and the hellensitic kingdoms under roman rule.

My Witness Mother called me over the weekend to speak mockingly over the Pope's apology and said "Good thing that child abuse will never happen in our Society". I almost started foaming at the mouth!! How can any witness be so ignorant?? (She lives in Holland, I live in the US, she thinks I'm still a WTS slave)
I told her, as calmly as possible about the $ 12 million dollar paid in Child abuse case settlements last September by the WTS. She was quiet for a while and then just changed the subject.
I went straight through my heart when she said that her and another old Witness lady were convinced this would never happen among the witnesses. "we haven't heard any of that over here?" Sad....

by TooBad TooSad inmy wife excitedly told me that she talked to the wife of an elder that just came back from.
the special training for elders in upper state new york and that the elders are being told .
to go back to their congregations and to get them ready for the great tribulation.. i said to her that is great news !!!!

I feel sorry for the thousands of young witnesses who actually believe that and have their sex life destroyed forever. As a young witness EVERYTHING that has to do with sex if bad, filthy, unclean etc. And the minute you are married, everything sex is all of a sudden wholesome, good, clean etc. How does your brain make that switch? How cruel to communicate these harmful things to young ones.
